PARENT OBSERVATION WEEK

Our watch week for dance classes will be Monday, October 6, through Saturday, October 11th. In an effort to make both the parents and the students more comfortable during observation, to keep the confusion to a minimum, and due to very limited space, we ask that the following guidelines be observed:

☺ Observation is for adults (16 and up) only—No babies or extra children may be brought along. It is unfair to expect children to sit quietly throughout the lesson and it is unfair to the dancers when distraction occurs.

☺No children may be left unattended in the common mall area, and as a courtesy to the mall patrons, we ask that observers please remain in the designated viewing area during classes.

We are advising you now so that arrangements can be made ahead of time in order to give the dancers your undivided attention.

Please Note: Space/seating is limited. You may have to stand or be seated on the floor.

Thank you in advance, for your cooperation!

COSTUME FEE REMINDER

All those who participate in the recital are required to have a costume. A costume fee for each class your child participates in is due during the month of November. A DISCOUNT of $10.00 per student will be applied to all costumes that are paid in full by the due date of NOVEMBER 7, 2008. The manufacturer does not accept returns; therefore, once ordered, the costume fees are NON-REFUNDABLE.   The costume fees for the year are listed below:

A BRIEF HISTORY OF AMANDA'S DANCE CENTER

Amanda Bell, as Owner and Director of Amanda's Dance Center, completed her 10th year of ownership of the studio, located in South Daytona.  The studio, formerly known as Debco School of Dance under the direction of Miss Deborah Coe, has been in business for a combination of 30 years. The first ten years in New York and the last twenty in Daytona Beach. Mrs. Bell was a student of Deborah Coe's (see photo above) and is proud to carry on the tradition of up-to-date training of the highest quality, in the Daytona area, offering BALLET, TAP, JAZZ, ACRO, TUMBLING , HIP-HOP, & POINTE to students starting at the age of 3. The studio also offers Kindermusik classes, (by licensed instructor David), to parents and childen up to age 3.

Amanda is a long time member of Florida Dance Masters, Incorporated; a group dedicated to keeping very high the standards of dance education in the state. She has been a workshop instructor and special guest choreographer for FDM's workshop and performance company; Main Attraction.

Amanda's students can be seen performing locally and nationally. Some have worked and performed with Dinsey, The Radio City Music Hall Rockettes, Sesame Street, The Joffrey, Moscow, Orlando and Civic Ballets, and even as finalists on the first season of FOX's "So You Think You Can Dance."
